This Thursday 8th March is International Women’s Day and over the next few days I will be posting blogs written by Kate Dove.
Kate has just completed her MA History at the Open University. As part of the research for her dissertation, The Impact of the First World War on women’s Employment: What were the changes in the working experiences of women in Cambridge from 1911-1921? Kate looked at some of the nurses registers and Minutes of the Governors of Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
During her research she came across the names of some pioneering women at Addenbrooke’s and has followed this up with investigating them and producing these articles for me. I hope you enjoy reading about them as much as I did.
